I got to play fireman for the day.  There was a hive on a building in

Guthrie and this was the only way to reach it.  I have to admit, this was

a blast.

Up Up and away.

Taking the hive off the side of the building.  Yes, I am in the basket.

They are getting the honey capped.  It won't be long now.

 That frame is full of honey.  All they need to do is cap it and it will be ready

to harvest.

The white along the top is capped honey.  The brown in the center is capped

bee larva.  They will be hatching in a few days and more bees will be ready

to go to work.  This is the kind of frame we like to see.

 

  • How do you know its hot?  Even the bees are sitting on the porch.

  • I told you the van was full.

 They were right at our ears.

 

The canola always looks great and the bees just love it.
